  • What happens if it rains during the event?
  • If it rains during the event, Solid Rock Sports staff will determine whether it is safe to continue using the inflatable rides, rock climbing walls, or other rides. Typically a short, light rain can be tolerated without any safety concerns. With more rain though, the rides often become slippery. Once safety is compromised, Solid Rock Sports staff will close the rides until the weather improves. If you cancel within 48 hours of the event, you will get a full refund. If you cancel before ride setup has begun, we will keep the 20% deposit to cover payroll and travel expenses. In the event the inflatables, rock climbing walls, are set up and rain occurs during the event, the entire contracted amount is required. See the cancellation policy for information regarding refunds.

  • What is your cancellation policy?
  • If you cancel within 48 hours of the event, you will receive a full refund. Cancellation with less than 48 hours notice forfeits your entire deposit. If you cancel after Solid Rock Sports staff is on site and beginning to setup, you are required to pay the entire contract amount. This policy is necessary to cover expenses such as travel, payroll, and loss of a potential business day.
In the unfortunate event of a cancellation, you may be able to use all or a portion of the contract amount toward a timely rescheduled event. The amount of credit issued will be determined at the discretion of Solid Rock Sports staff.

  • What is required to reserve a date?
  • To reserve an inflatable or rock climbing wall rental date, you must return a complete contract with the required deposit. Typically, before a date is reserved, priority is given to existing customers first. Otherwise, Solid Rock Sports operates on a first-come, first-served basis. If a customer expresses serious interest in a date, our staff will give priority to that customer if another request for that same date is received. If the date is not reserved within a reasonable amount of time, the next customer in line will be given the opportunity to reserve the date. Please note that you must hit the "Get Approval" button on the Quote Generator for Solid Rock Sports staff to give you priority on your event date.

  • How far in advance do I need to reserve rides?
  • No time is too early to reserve your inflatable rides or rock climbing walls for your event date. Our schedule fills rather quickly, so it is best to reserve your rides as soon as possible. Otherwise, depending upon availability and logistics, rides can be reserved at any time up to the time of the event.

  • How far will you travel for an event?
  • Our inflatables and rock climbing walls are licensed only in Ohio and will travel anywhere in the state for an event. Please note though, that there will be additional costs proportional to the distance from our home offices in Akron, Ohio.

  • How old do the volunteers have to be to run the rides?
  • The State of Ohio requires inflatable ride operators to be at least 16 years old. Solid Rock Sports typically does not allow volunteer labor for our rock climbing walls. We use only trained operators for belaying the rock climbing walls. Ocassionally, volunteers are used for crowd control and other non-technical tasks while the rock climbing walls are in operation.

  • Can we set-up rides inside?
  • Yes, as long as there is enough space to operate the rides safely. The recommended space requirements for the inflatables and rock climbing walls can be found on their respective web pages. The rock climbing wall requires a standard garage door sized opening for entry. Some stipulations apply with using the Rock Climbing Wall indoors because it is driven into place with a truck. The access doorway must be at least 9' wide by 8' high.

  • Can adults use the rides? Are there age requirements?
  • Yes, in most cases. We allow anyone 200lbs or under freely ride our inflatables and rock climbing walls. There are special circumstances where we relax this limit. This limit is imposed by Solid Rock Sports as an added safety measure and will only be relaxed at the discretion of our staff. There are no age requirements. As a courtesy to our customers we have indicated on the ride web pages which ages each ride typically appeals to.

  • Where is my quote? Is the Quote Generator not working?
  • There could be a couple of reasons why you are not seeing your quote. First, you may have errors in the information that you put in the form. However, the Quote Generator should explain those errors to you. The most common reason why people don't see their quote is because they are running popup blocking software. Quotes pop up in new windows. If you block these windows, you will not see your quote. You must allow popups from Solid Rock Sports or turn off your popup blocker software momentarily. Another problem that some users have is that they do not have javascript enabled in their web browser. You can enable it in your browser options. If you are still having difficulties, contact Solid Rock Sports, and we'll try to help.
